Booking tickets for the 2017 Festival

You can book tickets now for 2017 Festival events.

Advance booking is provided by the Box Office of St John’s Smith Square.

Your booking will show on your Credit Card statement as a transaction with SJSS, and telephone bookings will be answered by the SJSS Box Office.

St John’s have changed their Box Office system since the 2015 Festival: you will need to enter your name and address to create a new account with them, even if you bought tickets two years ago. However it is possible to buy tickets as a guest, if you would prefer not to set up a password for their system.

You can online book at any time through the Box Office website.

You can also book by telephoning 01727 846126 (10am–5pm, Monday to Saturday).

and District Council, our expanding IOFringe will feature free events across the city centre. This theme this year is Popular Music Icons – Heroes in homage to David Bowie, and you’ll find that our Fringe events are brimming with fun, activity and music for all tastes and all ages.

Our rich programme of solo and ensemble music features internationally renowned artists and inspirational stars of the future, performing in magnificent and historic buildings around the city.

Large-scale events include our ever-popular Three Choirs concert, Handel’s Messiah in the High Sheriff’s Charity Concert at St Albans Cathedral, and a special collaborative performance of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Young People’s Puppet Theatre and Beaumont School.

The glorious medieval 14th-century Kingsbury Barn once again hosts our eagerly awaited Art Exhibition, with its wide range of mixed media art, ceramics, silverware, sculpture and glasswork.

At the heart of the festival, of course, are the world renowned Organ Competitions. We will be welcoming the pre-selected competitors and visitors from all corners of the globe – together with our distinguished jury members, who also feature in recitals.

We look forwarding to welcoming you.
